There are many benefits of being self-employed and setting up your own business, which is why one of the mussel clubs long term members, Kim Forster, is delighted to be bringing you this event in conjuction with the North East Enterprise Agency Ltd and the North East BIC. They’ll be explaining how working for yourself could be the right move and they’ve lined up some of the regions experts in this area as guest speakers.

Fiona Simpson

Fiona is the founder and Managing Director of ARTventurers. A former solicitor, Fiona left the security of her legal profession after having children, driven by the desire to do something creative and work flexibly around her young family. Fiona has grown ARTventurers into a multi award winning company, delivering colourful art and creative play classes for babies, toddlers and children across the UK through a network of franchisees. Fiona was named Women Franchisor of the Year 2018.

Victoria Moodie

Victoria is a Business Adviser/Trainer with over 20 years’ experience of running her own businesses including a recruitment company and online retailer. She has worked for an enterprise agency supporting potential entrepreneurs for 9 years before leaving to work full time on her online retail business. Still successfully trading, time allowed Victoria to joing the BIC start up team early 2017. Victoria works very closely with her clients to build their confidence, reach their goals and think long term.
